In the information flow, it is easy to lose focus or become a victim of manipulation. Critical thinking is the ability to reason clearly and rationally, seek logical connections between facts, and formulate strong arguments. This intensive will help you avoid falling into traps of your own mind and not letting others deceive you. You will understand how human thinking works and what hinders critical thinking. You will be able to navigate the information flow, distinguish facts from opinions and fakes, learn about cognitive biases, and how to deal with them. The intensive is based on the GLOBUS system developed by the head of the School of Critical Thinking, Nikita Nepryahin, research results, and recommendations of Russian and foreign experts. Everything you will learn or try during the seven-day intensive are key skills and tools of critical thinking, enabling you to quickly achieve results. You will immediately apply the knowledge gained in practice – by completing tasks, you will get acquainted with the basics of fact-checking and logical analysis, practice detecting semantic gaps and weaknesses in arguments, and reflectively evaluate your own beliefs. After the intensive, you will have the tools of critical thinking and a habit of doubting and analyzing any information.
